Feel Koplo . Feel Koplo . Feel Koplo . Feel Koplo . Feel Koplo

Feel Koplo is an electronic dance trio from Bandung, Indonesia. Fusing dangdut’s subgenres with modern rave energy, their explosive sets have cemented them as a true festival closer.

Feel Koplo was formed in 2018 when Maulfi Ikhsan got an idea to remix pop songs into dangdut, as he recounted during an interview with detikhot. He asked his longtime friend, Tendi Ahmad to help with the technical side of remixing songs. Together, they created their first remix, which is Ten2Five’s “You”.

They chose the name Feel Koplo—slang of pil koplo (a type of cheap sedative pill), with the philosophy of “invoking the feeling of euphoria without the use of addictive substances”.

One of their first ever performances was in Pesta Seram Rakyat in November 2018, where their ability to spark excitement and rousing singalongs was apparent from the very beginning.

As word began to spread, they gradually started performing at prestigious events. For instance, they took the stage at Soundrenaline 2019, which featured over 60 local and international acts.

After that, they also performed at Synchronize Fest 2019, a festival where artists from various decades (from the ’70s to the 2000s) came together to entertain audiences of all ages. During this event, they also experienced their first viral breakthrough with a live performance video that amassed over half a million views. They closed the year by headlining a new year countdown in GWK, Bali.

In 2021, they released their first-ever EP, A Culture A6, which was met with positive reviews. Notably, CreativeDisk praised the release as “…the bravest debut of 2021, the duo blends electronica and dangdut with genres like hip hop, dubstep, folktronica, etc.”

The group continued touring extensively throughout the year. Around this time, their Art Director, Wildan Indra Sugara, began joining Feel Koplo’s live performances. Thus, amplifying their stage presence with an extra surge of energy.

From 2022 onwards, Feel Koplo began collaborating with international acts, which consequently resulted in either live performances or official releases. Notable examples include their live collaboration with The Walters at The Sounds Project Vol. 5 (2022), which ends up being their second internet sensation moment. Instagram video from Feel Koplo's account reached over 150,000 views within 72 hours and received thousands of comments praising the moment. Another one worth mentioning was their on-stage remix with Secondhand Serenade in 2023. Both collaborations were met with crowd-wide enthusiasm.

Feel Koplo’s infectious energy has caught the attention of more than just fans. In 2023, they teamed up with rapper Basboi on the track “Star-link”, created for Converse as part of the Converse National Anthem global campaign. A year later, they brought their signature sound to the gaming world with “Mabar", an original track made for the 8th anniversary of Mobile Legends in 2024.

Their most notable collaboration was with Alan Walker on Who I Am (2024), a remix that marked a breakthrough moment for dangdut koplo on the global stage. “The dangdut version by Feel Koplo makes the song ‘Who I Am’ feel more alive, and I really like the blend of electronic music and traditional Indonesian music in this version,” said Alan Walker. As they embark on nationwide and international tours in 2025, Feel Koplo is also hard at work on their long-awaited debut album.
