Sky Sucahyo is a singer-songwriter and ukulele player from Jakarta, Indonesia. She was previously known as the vocalist of Nasadira. Her music is a solid mixture of folk, acoustic-pop, a little bit of jazz, with a layer of unique vocals.
“Julia Nunes inspired me to not force myself to make complicated songs. Simple is enough, as long as I create it pure-heartedly,” Sky said in her Songstats profile.
She began learning instruments (keyboard, guitar, and ukulele) in high school. Sky Sucahyo is now a journalist, a poet-fan, and a part-time fiction-reader.
Heavily influenced by musicians such as The Civil Wars, Fleet Foxes, and Daughter, she wrote a wide range of songs. Starting from the pop sounding 'Lejar’, to the haunting ‘Dream Within a Dream’.
Sky released her live-session EP in July 2021, featuring tracks penned between 2014–2018, like “To Lust” and “Letters.” This release was praised as a heartfelt return, "a settlement of a long-standing debt" to her fans, referencing her writing from the aforementioned period. That same year, she contributed to You and Me Against the World: A Tribute to Mocca, covering a track on the tribute compilation celebrating Mocca’s 20th anniversary.
Known for her fun live performances, Sky has been performing live at notable Indonesian events. In 2023, she appeared at Pestapora, delivering a setlist that included originals like “Babe,” “Lejar,” “City and the Prairie,” plus a cover of “Tentang Sersan Nurcholis” and “Doa untuk Istriku”. She accompanies her bright tones with adorable speeches, dry humor, and awkward yet straightforward greetings
In 2025, Sky is working on her new album with FFWD records.
