Microgram Alternative Stage 2024

Microgram Alternative Stage returned to Pestapora 2024, closing its thematic trilogy with a bang. Featuring 31 diverse acts, the lineup brought together rising names (Drizzly, Precious Bloom, Texpack, Dreane, Eastcape, The Cottons), veterans (Bin Idris, Under The Big Bright Yellow Sun, Ihcos Agedas), and dynamic collaborations (Poris ft Wicigo Shawty, Obyrins, toxicdev!, and more; Whiteskkeleton, King T, and Gally Glitch; Vando with Mang Senyor).

This year’s theme, “Alternative You,” explored layered identities in a world filled with chaos and overstimulation.

“It’s about celebrating these alternate selves and marking the end of a cycle,” - Adli, Microgram Entertainment.

To mark the finale, Alyuadi Febryansyah released a 3-track EP RE:CYCLE // ALTERNATIVE YOU, the event’s official soundtrack. The shoegaze-inspired and minimalist songs will be available on streaming platforms from 20 September 2024, and are woven into the stage’s live experience.

On the visual front, Wildan Sugara, UVISUAL, and Downtown Studio return with the most experimental setup yet—green screen-inspired staging and AI-tracked LED installations that respond to the crowd.

“We want to bring the 'Alternative You' to life through every detail from sound, visuals, and energy,” Adli added.

Also returning is the Star Pilgrim Alt Zine, titled Our Truest Retrospective on Who the Heck Are We?, written by Dwi Lukita and visualized by Sabil Hibatulwafi. Merchandise from all three editions will be available on-site.

“Though wrapped in sci-fi themes, the stories are deeply personal. Stories about new worlds (2022), memory (2023), and now, identity,” Dwi reflected. “This isn’t just our celebration, but everyone’s.”

Presented with Pestapora and supported by Fred Perry, Greenpeace, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, the stage was held from 20–22 September at Gambir Expo, JIEXPO Kemayoran.
