MICROVERSE X ROCK IN CELEBES

Microverse is a curated music program initiated by Microgram in 2015, designed to spotlight alternative music talents through intimate gigs and immersive experiences. Microverse redefines the live music format with multi-sensory elements, merging music, technology, and local creative ecosystems.

In 2023, through a collaboration with Bandung-based creative organizer Kaum, Microverse expanded its presence through its West Java Tour, visiting three key cities: Bandung, Indramayu, and Sukabumi. Each stop offered uniquely tailored atmospheres including Augmented Reality (AR) activations, local creative markets, and experimental stages combining traditional and contemporary music. The lineup for this tour was Eleventwelfth, Feel Koplo, Leipzig, El Karmoya, Cigareto Intisaro, Sing Sing, Heals, Dongker, Majidalska x Fadli Doel, Suissac, and Swarm.

“This year’s Microverse brings more than just music. It’s a hybrid experience, made richer by our partnerships with local collectives in each city,” said Vando from Microgram.

“We hope this tour opens the door for more performance spaces across Indonesia.”

Microverse: West Java Tour served as a living blueprint for how alternative music can be celebrated across regions, communities, and mediums. With each city offering its own flavor, the tour brought together musicians, creatives, and audiences in an experience that blurred the lines between live performance, digital interaction, and local cultural collaboration.
